Welcome Katy Trail Riders
The Katy Trail is located just a short bike ride from our front door. The 237 mile (386 km) trail stretches across most of Missouri. The majority of the trail was first walked by Lewis and Clark as they made their way west and up the Missouri River. Enjoy views while you ride beneath towering river bluffs as eagles circle overhead. The Katy Trail meanders through peaceful farmland and small-town Americana.
Katy Trail is America’s longest “rails-to-trail” project which was originally called the MKT rail line where thousands of pounds of product and products have travel over past years. The trail is not just for biking. It’s ideal for hiking and running as well. There is also a section of the trail which allows for Horseback riding along a 35 mile section of the trail from Sedalia to Clinton.
